The Association of Resident Doctors, Jos University Teaching Hospital, (ARD JUTH) held it’s 2025 Ordinary General Meeting and Scientific Conference on Friday 20th June, 2025 at the JUTH Canteen Auditorium Hall in JUTH, Lamingo Jos, Plateau State. Below are pictures of the epoch and memorable gathering of residents of the current largest centre for residency training in Africa’s giant, Nigeria.

Our distinguished President Dr Kwarshak Yakubu Kevin gave a welcome address and thanked members of Congress for their support always.


The Chief Medical Director, Dr. Pokop W. Bupwatda gave his opening remarks and thanked President Kwarshak, his executive council and members of Congress for the unwavering support to the development of the hospital and promised to do more for the welfare of all ARDites.

This was presented by a seasoned Consultant Ophthalmologist Dr Mrs Nanbam Bupwatda on the topic, Resilience and Excellence: Redefining Residency in Challenging Times.

Dr Mrs Gyang A. Bwatyum, a Consultant Psychiatrist and Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, JUTH presented the subtheme with the topic, Beyond the Stethoscope: Navigating Wellness and Leadership in Challenging Times.

All members of the executive council were in attendance with reports presented as constitutionally mandated.



June 20th is the birthday of the current Public Relations Officer of the Association, Dr Justice Ohwojeheri. There was a birthday celebration and cutting of cake of our dynamic Image maker. This was graced by the NARD 1st Vice-President and POTARD, JUTH.

Business Meeting
The Business meeting started immediately after the Scientific Conference with Secretariat Report, Financial Report, AGM report presented. Thereafter the meeting went into a business session where all sundry issues concerning the Association were discussed










Breakfast and Lunch Served
Our capable LOC under the leadership of Dr Onuche ensured all ARDites were adequately fed by assortments of yummy chops for breakfast and buffet-standard lunch and drinks afterwards.

ARDites also showcased their businesses during the OGM. A core mandate of this executive council is to support all members in their ventures and this was on full display during the OGM.
