The President Dr Kwarshak Kevin and members of the executive council wish to felicitate with all Congressmen and women on this year’s World Anaesthesia Day 2025 (WAD) which is being celebrated today Thursday, 16th October 2025.
Every year on October 16, the world observes World Anaesthesia Day to commemorate a milestone in medical history—the first successful use of anaesthesia.
However, even after many remarkable advances in the field, nearly 5 billion people worldwide still lack access to safe anaesthesia.
This reality underscores the importance of WAD as a platform to raise awareness, celebrate achievements in the field, and advocate for improved global access to anaesthesia care.
The theme for 2025 “‘Anaesthesiology in Health Emergencies,” which aims to shed light on the critical role anaesthesiologists play during emergencies such as natural disasters, pandemics, and accidents—situations where their expertise is crucial for saving lives.
ARD JUTH celebrates all it’s Anaesthesia residents on their special day. Thank you for your selfless dedication and sacrifices always.
