DR. KWARSHAK KEVIN obtained his First School Leaving Certificate from LGEA Primary School Mile 8 Fier, Pankshin, and Secondary School Certificate from United Tongfom Fellowship College, Pankshin. He subsequently graduated with a MBBS degree from the University of Jos. He obtained Masters in Global Health Health and Management and Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health, at the University of Aberdeen, UK and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK, where he graduated with Distinction from both institutions.
A recipient of multiple international scholarships, including the prestigious Chevening Scholarship.
Dr. Kwarshak has held numerous leadership positions within and outside Nigeria. His roles include Chairman of the Plateau Medical Final Year Student Project Committee, House Officer Representative at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, and President of the Jos University Medical Students Association (JUMSA). Internationally, he served as the Representative of Global Health Master’s Students on the Student Union of the University of Aberdeen, UK. Domestically, he has served as a two-term President of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) and has chaired or served as secretary on various committees.
Passionate about mentoring, Dr. Kwarshak has coached and continues to guide young leaders who now excel in various institutions.
He is the Immediate Past President of the Association of Resident Doctors, JUTH, and the Secretary of the Maiden Plateau State Business Coalition Health Summit. He is the current *SECOND VICE-PRESIDENT, NIGERIAN ASSOCIATION OF RESIDENT DOCTORS, NARD.*
Currently a Senior Registrar in Urological Surgery, JUTH.
His hobbies include playing football, engaging in intelligent conversations, solving problems, helping people and political discussions.
Dr. TYEM NANSIK CHIRTAU was born on the 20th of November in Uyo,Akwaibom State, but hails from Langtang North Local Government Area in Plateau State.
Her academic journey began at St John’s Primary School, Uyo, Akwaibom state, where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate in 2008. She then proceeded to Queens College, Lagos where she graduated in 2014.
She was admitted into the University of Jos, College of Health Sciences, Plateau State and graduated in October 2024.
Currently, she serves as the House Officers’ Representative, where she advocates for improved welfare and working conditions for House Officers.
She has held other leadership positions including Furniture Prefect (Queens’ College, Lagos 2013/2014; Member of Financial Commitee, CMDA Class of 2024 Sendforth, Deputy House Officers Representative, JUTH, 2025)
Beyond medicine, she enjoys reading fiction novels, listening to music and spending time with family.
Dr. IORTYER SHADRACH SESUGH was born on the 7th of February in Kaduna State, but hails from Vandeikya Local Government Area in Benue State.
His academic journey began at Air Force Primary School, Jos, where He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 2005. He then proceeded to Command Secondary School, where He graduated in 2011.
Driven by a passion for medicine and service, He pursued medical education at the College of Health Sciences, Benue State University, Makurdi, and graduated in July 2024.
Currently, He serves as the House Officers’ Representative, where he advocates for collaborative, efficient, and supportive working environment.
Beyond the wards, he enjoys playing chess, and also codes during his free time. Other interests include reading classic literature, watching documentaries, and exploring music.
DR. MABUR DAMLA JOEL hails from Daffo in Bokkos Local government Area. He attended COCIN Nursery and Primary school Daffo from 1999-2006 where he obtained his first school leaving certificate. He then proceeded to COCIN Comprehensive College Gindiri and obtained his SSCE in 2012. He was admitted to study Medicine and Surgery in the University of Jos where he obtained his MBBS in 2020. He did his house job in the Jos University Teaching Hospital and served the Nation in the NYSC program in Yobe State. He is currently a Registrar in the department of Anaesthesia, Critical care and Pain management in the Jos University Teaching Hospital.
He has held many leadership positions including but not exhaustive to Assistant Head boy, Time keeper, College Captain, FCS president, CYF General Secretary, Chairman GICOSA 2012, President DMSA, CMDA Nigeria – Students School missions Secretary, school President, school ex Officio, school brother’s coordinator, member and chairman ELECO, NYSC CDS President, NCCF Potiskum Zonal General Secretary and is currently serving as the Assistant General Secretary of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) JUTH.
He has participated in many Local and International Leadership Trainings amongst which are Global Leadership Summit, Youth Leadership Development Forum.
Dr Mabur Damla Joel is a Christian and a Sunday school teacher. He is a dedicated family man, married to Mrs Leritshimwa Damla Mabur and resides in Lamingo with his family.
He is interested in Critical reasoning, Badminton, the Military, and solution finding.
DR. NKECHI OKOLO was born to the family of Late Mr Patrick and Mrs Ada Okolo on 19th July in the city of Jos. She started her primary educational pursuit at Educare private school, Jos before going on to complete her primary education at Glory international school, Karu Abuja.
She completed her secondary education at Loyola Jesuit college, Abuja, and obtained her MBBS certificate from the prestigious Bingham university, Karu, Nasarawa state, and while there served in many capacities in the medical student union(BHUMSA), being a one time Assistant Secretary General and two time Vice-President. She also served as the Vice-Chairperson of the Nigerian Medical Students’ Association Northern Caucus. She is currently a resident doctor in the department of Internal Medicine, JUTH, and serves as the re-elected Welfare Secretary of the Association of Resident Doctors, JUTH.
She is passionate about reforming the health care sector in Nigeria, and bringing positive change to health care provision, one facility at a time.
DR. BILDAD YAKUBU TARIMBUKA was born on February 12th in Mubi, Adamawa State, Nigeria, to the family of Mr. Yakubu Tarimbuka and Mrs. Ladi Yakubu Tarimbuka.
He had his primary education at Mundra Model School, Adamawa State, and proceeded to Nicolas Barré College, Ganye, Adamawa State, for his secondary education. He went on to study Medicine and Surgery at Bingham University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in 2024.
Dr. Bildad is a passionate leader who has served in several leadership capacities during his medical training. These include serving as the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Standing Committee on Professional Exchange, NIMSA; Chairman, Constitution Review Committee, Adamawa State Medical Students’ National Body (2023); President, ADAMSA Bingham University Chapter (2022/2023); and General Secretary, Bingham University Medical Students Association (2023/2024).
He is also the Founder of PayBridge and currently serves as the House Officers’ Representative.
His hobbies include engaging in meaningful conversations with wise elders, playing the bass guitar, watching movies, and spending quality time having fun with his siblings.
DR. BULUS NANSAK GWAKBONG is a distinguished Nigerian medical doctor and Otorhinolaryngologist in training. He was born on October 14, many years ago in Otukpo, Benue State, Nigeria to the family of Mr Bulus Gwakbong and Mrs Juliana Bulus. He hails from Zamgwar, Langtang North, Plateau State, and is proudly Christian.
Nansak’s educational journey began at LEA Pallam Pilot Primary School, Langtang, where he graduated with FSLC in 1999. He then attended Cooper Memorial Secondary School, Langtang, graduating in 2005. He furthered his studies at the University of Jos, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in 2015.
Following his graduation, Nansak completed his internship at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) in 2016 and served as a Youth Corps member in Sokoto State in 2017.
Throughout his career, Nansak has achieved notable milestones, including becoming a Member of the West African College of Surgeons (MWACS) Faculty of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. His exceptional work has earned him prestigious awards, such as the Medical Leadership Award by TAROSA National body, Bronze Medals in the JUCAST 2024 Tournament.
In his personal life, Nansak is a devoted family man, married with a beautiful daughter. He enjoys playing volleyball, watching movies, and exploring new destinations and also enjoys politics. He is the Immediate Past General Secretary of ARD JUTH.
Currently, Dr. Bulus Nansak Gwakbong resides in Haske Quarters, Gwafan, Jos, where he continues to practice medicine and make meaningful contributions to his community.
DR. CHOJI JEREMIAH DANYAM is a Registrar with the department of Orthopaedic and Trauma who obtained a Masters degree in Orthopaedics and Trauma Science from the Queen Mary University London as a Commonwealth Scholar, and Masters in Public Health from the University of Roehampton London after completing his undergraduate from the prestigious University of Jos.
He has served as a Clinical Mentor in Plateau State under the APIN/CDC HIV mentorship program where he acquired his skills in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and provided technical assistance to staff of Antiretroviral clinic. He was the medical superintendent of COCIN Hospital Panyam for a period of four years, and during his tenure, the standard of care in the rural hospital improved, gaining the facility NHIA and PLASCHEMA insurance accreditation.
His passion for research and acedamic writing has found him publishing articles and sharing ideas with his colleagues on the development of a problem solving based research project.
He enjoys playing piano, hiking, and cooking at his leisure.
Currently, he serves as the deputy editor-in-chief of the Jos Journal of Medicine.
DR. AKPOMUSHI EGGA hails from Nassarawa Eggon LGA of Nasarawa State. She was born and bred in Jos Plateau State. She had her primary education in Tempest Private School Jos, attended the prestigious Federal Government Girls’ College Bwari Abuja before obtaining her MBBS in the University of Jos.
She is a follower of Christ and is passionate about wholistic healthcare delivery.
Her editorial journey began in the Christian Medical and Dental Association Student’s editorial board, where she served for several years, including the national board. She also was the editor of the ‘Youth Mirror’ – a youth ministry magazine for 2 years.
She is a committed member of Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors Nigeria and has served the Association of Resident Doctors JUTH chapter as the Deputy Editor for 3 years and currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief.
Good and effective leadership is paramount to her. She is an alumnus of the Institute for Excellence in Leadership and Healthcare (IfEHL) and a participant of the Global Health Women Leadership Development Program.
Currently, she is a senior registrar in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Division of the Department of Surgery.
In her spare time, she loves to bake, write, take photos, hike, and enjoy natural settings
DR. ADEBOWALE ETOBABA SUNDAY is a Nigerian medical doctor, Christian, and entrepreneur, born on 9th October to Mr. Adebowale Etobaba Solomon and Mrs. Adebowale Caroline Iyabo. He hails from Okeola, Ilesha East Local Government Area, Osun State, Nigeria.
He received his primary education at Anointed Primary School, Jos in 2000 and proceeded to First Baptist Science Grammar School, where he obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 2007.
Dr. Sunday earned a Bachelor’s degree in Science Laboratory Technology from the University of Jos in 2014. Driven by a strong desire to serve humanity through healthcare delivery, he further pursued a career in medicine and obtained the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the College of Health Sciences, University of Jos in 2022.
He completed his housemanship training at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) between 2022 and 2023, during which he served as the House Officers’ Representative for Internal Medicine Interns. He also volunteered with the Faith Alive Foundation, where he developed a keen interest in maternal and child health.
In 2024, Dr. Sunday commenced his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is currently a Registrar in the department, where he has actively contributed to clinical service delivery and departmental growth.
Beyond medicine, he is a passionate entrepreneur and the founder of ECS Enterprise, under which he runs ECS Farms and ECS Laundry Hub.
He has served in various capacities within the Association of Resident Doctors, JUTH (ARD JUTH), including as Secretary of the Multi-Cooperative Society (MCS) Committee and a member of the Business Committee. He also served on the Organising Committee for the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Plateau State Branch.
Dr. Sunday enjoys table tennis and snooker, has a love for films, and plays the guitar in his leisure time.
He currently serves as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of ARD JUTH, where he is committed to effective communication, advocacy, and positive engagement among members and stakeholders.
DR. BYENCIT JANG is a resident currently training in the Department of Anatomic Pathology and Forensic Medicine. She is also rounding up a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, reflecting her interest in combining clinical medicine with population health and health systems strengthening.
She received her early education at Gaskiya Highland Private School and Girls’ High School, Gindiri, before proceeding to the University of Jos, where she earned her medical degree.
She currently serves as the Treasurer of the association and is committed to discharging her responsibilities with integrity, diligence, and excellence.
Dr. Jang has a strong interest in women’s health, professional development, and institutional strengthening. She is passionate about transparent systems, accountability, and responsible stewardship, values that guide both her professional and leadership roles.
Outside her professional duties, she enjoys mentoring younger colleagues, reading, community service, and engaging in activities that promote personal growth and balance.
Born on the 17th of January to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Micah S. Baugudu, DR. BANNANG MICAH is a passionate medic who has dedicated the few years of his medical practice to genuine service for humanity.
A seasoned leader and advocate for good governance, he has promoted focussed, democratic and result oriented governance at various fora.
He is registrar in the department of Orthopedics and Trauma, JUTH who is dedicated to excellence in practice and patient care.
Dr. Bannang Micah has had the privilege of serving in many leadership roles at different levels for different organizations including but not limited to House Officers’ Rep, FMC Birnin-Kudu, Assistant General Secretary ARD, FMC Birnin-Kudu, Assistant General
Secretary ARD JUTH and currently the Financial Secretary of ARD JUTH.
He loves to play Scrabble, Table tennis and reading.
DR. JUSTICE OHWOJEHERI was born on June 20th to the family of Chief Moses Ohwojeheri and Mrs Regina Ohwojeheri of Eku town, Delta State. He had his primary and secondary education in Delsu Staff School, Abraka and proceeded to study Microbiology in Delta State University, Abraka graduating in 2005. He did his National Youth Service (NYSC) in General Hospital, Yelwa-Yauri, Kebbi State.
He proceeded to the University of Benin, Benin-city obtaining his MBBS in 2014. Dr Justice did his Housemanship in Plateau State Specialist Hospital. He started his residency training in Jos University Teaching Hospital JUTH in 2019. He is currently a Senior Registrar in the Department of Anaesthesia.
Positions held include Secretary-General NAMS, President Altar Boys Association, Coordinator Charity Club and Founder Nigerian Doctors Forum NDF. He has served in Endowment Fund, Publicity and OGM planning committees in ARD JUTH. He is a Member of NARD Media Team and also LOC Member for January NARD NEC Meeting. Dr Justice served as the immediate past stellar Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Association.
He was voted Resident of the Year in Anaesthesia Department, Best Club Coordinator (NYSC), and recipient of Commendation Award by the Commander NNRH CRS. He is a former JUTH Scrabble Champion and current ARD JUTH Scrabble Champion. His hobbies include playing Scrabble, surfing the net and traveling. He is a Catholic and is married to his beautiful wife Elizabeth.

DR. ALICE ALIYU MUSA, was born on April 27th, to Mr and Mrs Aliyu Umar in Warji LGA of Bauchi state. She is happily married to Mr Garba Musa with children. She started her primary education at Progressive nursery and primary school in Bayara in Bauchi state and subsequently had her first leaving certificate from Bayara primary school in Bauchi in 1999, her secondary school leaving certificate was obtained from Government Girls Secondary school (Special School) kafin madaki in Bauchi state following a special state government scholarship program in 2005.
She proceeded to Ain Shams university on Bauchi state scholarship to obtain a MBBch degree with honors in 2014. She had numerous leadership positions which includes a Head girl at progressive nursery and primary school, Time keeper at G.G.S.S Kafin Madaki, Vice Leader for Nigerian student in faculty of medicine Ain Shams university Cairo, Egypt. And currently she is the Vice President of the Association of Resident Doctors in Jos University Teaching Hospital.
She is currently a Senior Registrar in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Jos University Teaching Hospital.
